Surrounded by the pristine Southern Ocean, True South Seafood operates out of two main locations: in the south of Hobart, Tasmania and Christchurch, New Zealand. Our divers are an exceptionally tough breed and year round they brave the icy, unpredictable waters of the Great Southern Ocean. From small boats, they employ free-diving and surface supplied air or ‘hookah’ to carefully select and harvest only the best abalone, Pāua, and urchins.

Western Abalone has an exclusive brand called Golden Line. This name derives from the gold-coloured lifeline abalone divers rely on for their air supply whilst working on the seafloor.
Williams Seafoods
Live exports of wild-caught Southern Rock Lobster began in 1996 from the family’s purpose built, EU accredited and A-rated live export facility, located in the fishing village of Port Mac Donnell, SA. The export business has recently celebrated 20 successful years of Live Southern Rock Lobster exports. Delivering consistently high quality, live lobsters to the world has won Williams Seafoods an enviable reputation.
