Petuna is a Tasmanian success story, established by Peter and Una Rockliff in 1949. Originally a family-owned fishing company, Petuna diversified into aquaculture in 1990 and in 2020, Peter and Una sold their 50% shareholding to their existing business partner, Sealord Group. Sealord’s New Zealand fishing interests and Māori heritage – with its focus on preservation of the sea – made it a natural partner for Petuna, allowing the company to grow while staying true to its original heritage.
Sourced from the remote West Coast of Tasmania, Petuna aquaculture lives where the cool wilderness waters of the Franklin-Gordon Rivers collide with the salt water of the Great Southern Ocean.
